In this week’s episode, Peter interviews Duncan Glassey. Duncan is an Associate of the Institute of Financial Planning, a member of the Society of Financial Advisers, a pension transfer specialist, an accredited mediator, and holds the internationally recognised Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Licence. Duncan won Planned Savings Magazine’s Financial Planner of the Year award in 2000.

Peter and Duncan discuss Duncan’s book “Financial Freedom: Using the Wealth Flow System” (http://www.wealthflow.org/), the state of planning in the UK and the US, and how to remain financially stable in a changing environment. Topics of particular interest to listeners include:

–How the press harms the average investor and how to avoid it.

–Why you should avoid the next hot stock.

–What is adequate diversification?

–What questions you should ask to reach your financial comfort zone.

–The role of investing in happiness.

–Why planners and institutions pay lip service to understanding your needs and what you should do.

We hope you enjoy this show! Our next show is an interview with John Rogers of Ariel Funds. John is widely regarded as one of a small handful of the best mutual fund managers in the world. He has built Ariel on the premise that steady and slow wins the race and on a strong belief in ethical investing. You won’t want to miss this show.

And you read it first here: In December please join us for a very special interview with Steve Forbes. We’ll be discussing the flat tax and why he thinks it’s a better solution than our current tax structure.

As always, we love to get feedback on show ideas and what you like or don’t like about the show. Until our next episode, here’s to your success!
